Redesign of a great old classic

This computer is for a lot of people a source for a lot of memory, i still remember the long time spent waiting for the tape to ... well to load anything.

Although it looks like an unimpressive keyboard-like box, the Commodore 64 was incredibly popular. More C64s have been sold than any other single computer system, even to this day. That's about 17 million systems, according to the Commodore 1993 Annual Report.

So it's not a so big surprise that the Commodore 64 is back on the market. The relaunch was decided in 2011 by U.S. Commodore. The home computer is presented with a look almost identical to that of the historic  C64, but the internal structure is completely different.

To core of the new Commodore 64 is an Intel Atom dual-core D525 1.8 GHz clock speed. The graphics engine is driven by a NVIDIA Ion 2,2 Gigabyte. it miss the old cassette recorder, but the new C-64 is equipped with USB ports, an HDMI connection and Blue-ray player (optional).

Awesome! I can't believe they are updating it. From the outside it still looks the same though.
